Don’t you appreciate it when something get’s right to the point? Yeah, me too.
These are a bit different. What I do and with great success is take your average cast acrylic sheets in whatever size and thickness needed, and instead of laminating them with printed vinyl, instead of UV printing the inner face, and instead of slapping janky plain letters on them, I carve out pockets of a depth suitable to the thickness of the substrate. Then? I flood it with a bonding paint. I can do multiple colors, yet, most believe it to be better suited for no more than two color variants.
What you will find is an incredibly resilient product that will last you a very long time – easily outlasting laminated vinyl by more than twice the life expectancy, and looking good the entire time with minimal maintenance.
These slide into your existing light box and replace the existing acrylic/poly. They’re quick to fabricate, they’re sturdy and as I mentioned resilient, and they won’t set you back a weeks profit.
Costs are fractional compared to other methods for backlit signage. For a four foot by eight foot inset backlit commercial sign panel, you’re likely looking at $1400 a panel, or $2500 a pair (in the case of two sides of a lightbox).
