This is but one of the Parade Saddle Stands made by Shop210Craftworks and which is part of the product line under that brand name. The “Misión” name is Mission in Spanish and speaks to the American Southwest when Spanish Priests would establish presence and when America was still wild. The Cross as it’s center piece is intending to capture this idea.
This is sent unassembled to save you expense and us shipping. It consists of nine pieces shipped flat, but which are already finished and ready for assembly. For assembly we recommend you use wood glue- so have that on hand and ready! Some opt to use brad nails over screws, and we would agree as it doesn’t detract or distract from either the stand or the saddle it intends to hold.
These are made from a very high grade of Maple plywood, 3/4″ thick, that is intended for the custom yacht industry. Plywood won’t warp, twist, pull or separate as solid woods have the tendency to do over time, and it keeps the cost down as an added bonus. Some parts are left natural while others are stained with a high quality gel stain. Height is around 33 3/4″” tall, and width is around 24″. Being made of 12 ply plywood, the weight is reasonable at around 25lbs.
